Today, or should I say yesterday, went exceptionally well. The CCCSA potluck went smoothly, and around 1pm, an hour and a half after I arrived, I was back on the b-line to Broadway Stn. Caught the bus with Peter and talked about Daniel Craig ahaha. I hadn't seen Casino Royale so I wanted to know what he was like as 007.
I met up with Khey at the Rio and we went to chill at my place while Boss Man Chris was building up the film. Janey came over too and we hung out for a bit before we parted ways; Jane went off to ballet and Khey and I went to do a little quality control by catching a sneak preview of Quantum of Solace! WOW that film was intense! I screamed so much during the opening scene and a few other intense moments. I remember at one point I started getting sweaty, and my heart was racing. Maybe it was the coffee, but I like to think it was the film. I love Daniel Craig as Bond! He really brings something different, methinks. Now I just gotta go see Casino Royale.
After the screening I went straight to work with Aaron. It was slow pretty much up until Aaron was gone and Paul was clocked in for the 930PM show. This one guy ordered 10 large buttered popcorns for him and his various friends. :| That took forever to prepare. Paul was such a trooper doing all of that. And then Cherise came by and I needed to go home to grab a bite to eat and make myself fancy for the midnight screening. :)
I got back about 45 minutes later, and the next thing you know, Zack & Miri is over and we're ready to rock the rush. I'm thinking maybe wearing heels while working behind concession wasn't such a good idea. I almost slipped at least 20 times. But whatever, it looked good. The shoes I mean, not the near fatal slippage part. Hopefully there will be some photos of the event up soon because I forgot to whip out my camera to take some photos with the staff; it was just so busy! After my shift, I met up with Tim and our friends and watched the second half of Quantum of Solace again. I enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Plus I made a bunch of drinks to help me unwind after the stress.
Here's to yet another successful night at the Rio!
NOW GO SEE QUANTUM OF SOLACE!
xoxo,
Lady Dia
